When “Suggest icons” start bugging you…

suggest-feature4.pngWhen you have a mouse over an object, the suggestions of createable models in/from the object appear as icons, which we call the “Suggest Feature“. This is extremely useful to create diagrams fast.

However sometimes these icons may get in your way when you try to select objects to move or resize them. So I’ll show you three ways to make them go off when you don’t need them.

1: Hide them quickly

Hold the [Shift] key down. While [Shift] is pressed down, the icons would not appear.

2: Hide them from currently-opened diagram

Click the [Suggest Feature] switch (in red circle in the image below) on the tool palette.

3: Hide them from all the diagrams

Hide them completely. Go to [Tools] – [System Properties] – [Diagram Editor], take the tick off the [Enable Suggest Feature] and click [Apply] – [OK].

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
